Examples of our work
Photographs of manufactured components. Scope and requirements are agreed against the project documentation.
Build-to-print tooling
Complete production tools manufactured to customer documentation
We manufacture mechanical tooling for welding, resistance welding, assembly and dimensional inspection. The scope may include all components, the welded base, machining of datum surfaces, assembly, adjustment, measurement, painting, transport and commissioning.
Tool types
Tooling matched to the production process
Each fixture type has its own requirements for location, access, adjustment and acceptance.
Welding fixtures
Frames, bases, locating elements, clamps and interfaces for manual or robotic welding.
→ 02Resistance welding fixtures
Mechanical tooling for spot, projection, seam and butt resistance welding.
→ 03Assembly fixtures
Stations and tools for locating, assembling and checking the relative position of components.
→ 04Inspection and measurement fixtures
Checking bases, measurement frames, reference points and acceptance documentation.
→Scope of supply
From individual parts to a complete, adjusted production tool
We take responsibility for the agreed mechanical scope and coordinate the successive manufacturing stages.
- cutting and preparation of components
- welding of the frame, base and supporting structure
- turning, milling and datum machining after welding
- assembly of locating elements, clamps and modules
- adjustment and geometric inspection
- painting, identification, transport and commissioning
Production interfaces
Mechanical integration with process equipment
Using the supplied interface documentation, we manufacture tooling for common production equipment.
Input data
What should be included in the tooling documentation
Part and datums
Part model, datum scheme, support points and required degrees of freedom.
Process sequence
Order of loading, welding, joining, assembly or inspection operations.
Interfaces
Robot, welding machine, rotator, positioner, conveyor or station data.
Acceptance
Tolerances, measurement points, required documents and final acceptance procedure.
