CNC Machining

Turning and milling

Precision components and datum machining after welding

We turn and mill one-off parts and low-volume batches and machine datum surfaces on complete welded structures. Machining may be commissioned as a standalone service or as part of a complete fixture or fabricated assembly.

Machining scope

The process is selected to suit the component function

01

Milling

Surfaces, pockets, holes, mounting datums and fixture parts to drawing.

02

Turning

Shafts, bushes, pins, locating elements and rotational parts.

03

Post-weld machining

Datums, planes and holes machined after the welded structure is complete.

04

Completion

Machining combined with standard part sourcing, assembly and final inspection.

Integrated manufacturing

CNC machining as part of a complete production tool

In many projects the final accuracy depends on machining datums only after the frame has been welded. Combining the processes reduces transfers between suppliers.

  • preparation of raw material and blanks
  • welding the frame or structural body
  • stabilisation and preparation to the documentation
  • milling datum surfaces and holes
  • manufacture of locating and clamping elements
  • assembly, adjustment and final dimensional inspection

Parameters are confirmed from the drawing

Because dimensions and requirements vary, we do not publish a single general accuracy table. Each feature is assessed in relation to material, process and workholding.
